साइंटिफिक सोच को बढ़ावा देने हेतु “आओ हाथ बढ़ाएं, विज्ञान को विस्तार दें” का आयोजन

वाराणसीः नेशनल एकेडमी ऑफ़ साइंसेज़, इंडिया (NASI), वाराणसी चैप्टर के साथ मिलकर बनारस हिंदू यूनिवर्सिटी के महिला महाविद्यालय में नेशनल साइंस डे की पूर्व संध्या बड़े जोश के साथ मनाई गई। “आओ हाथ बढ़ाएं, विज्ञान को विस्तार दें” नाम की प्रेरणा देने वाली टैगलाइन के तहत आयोजित इस प्रोग्राम का मकसद युवा सीखने वालों और अंडरग्रेजुएट स्टूडेंट्स में साइंटिफिक जागरूकता और साइंटिफिक सोच को बढ़ावा देना था।

GGHH स्कूल के स्टूडेंट्स को दिन भर चलने वाले इस आयोजनमें हिस्सा लेने के लिए BHU कैंपस में बुलाया गया था। इस आयोजन ने स्कूल स्टूडेंट्स और यूनिवर्सिटी के स्कॉलर्स के बीच बातचीत के लिए एक शानदार प्लेटफॉर्म दिया, जिससे जिज्ञासा और क्रिटिकल सोच को बढ़ावा मिला।

महिला महाविद्यालय की लगभग 45अंडरग्रेजुएट स्टूडेंट्स ने इस आयोजन के लिए आगे बढ़कर हिस्सा लिया और बुनियादी साइंटिफिक कॉन्सेप्ट्स को दिखाने के लिए दिलचस्प “डू-इट-योरसेल्फ” (DIY) साइंस प्रोजेक्ट्स तैयार किए। टिंडल इफ़ेक्ट, लाइट स्कैटरिंग, सरफेस टेंशन, एयर प्रेशर और मेथिलीन ब्लू स्टेनिंग से बुक्कल एपिथेलियल सेल्स की स्टडी को दिखाने वाले एक्सपेरिमेंट्स को आसान और इंटरैक्टिव तरीके से दिखाया गया। क्लास IX के स्टूडेंट्स ने जोश के साथ प्रदर्शन देखे, सवाल पूछे और सक्रिय रूप से हिस्सा लिया, जिससे क्लासरूम लर्निंग के अलावा प्रैक्टिकल जानकारी मिली।

उद्घाटन सत्रको NASI–वाराणसी चैप्टर की चेयरपर्सन प्रो. मधुलिका अग्रवाल ने संबोधित किया, जिन्होंने स्टूडेंट्स को अपनी रोज़मर्रा की ज़िंदगी में वैज्ञानिक दृष्टिकोणअपनाने के लिए बढ़ावा दिया। प्रो. अभय कुमार सिंह, प्रो. जगत कुमार रॉय और NASI फेलो प्रो. एस. बी. अग्रवाल जैसे जाने-माने एकेडेमिक्स ने स्टूडेंट्स से बातचीत की, और भारत के लेटेस्ट साइंटिफिक मिशन और साइंस में करियर के मौकों पर चर्चा की। NASI–वाराणसी चैप्टर की सेक्रेटरी प्रो. पी. सी. अभिलाष ने प्रतिभागियों को NASI के आउटरीच प्रोग्राम्स के बारे में बताया।

वेलेडिक्ट्री सेशन और सर्टिफिकेट डिस्ट्रीब्यूशन सेरेमनी के दौरान, महिला महाविद्यालय की प्रिंसिपल प्रो. रीता सिंह ने इस बात पर ज़ोर दिया कि MMV ने BHU आउटरीच कार्यक्रममें लगातार अग्रणी रोल निभाया है। उन्होंने MMV के जमीनी स्तर पर छात्रोंकी सहायता करने के समर्पण को दोहराया, कि कोई भी स्टूडेंट सीमित संसाधनकी वजह से गुणवत्तापूर्ण शिक्षासे वंचित न रहे। इस इवेंट ने अनुभवजन्य सीखनाका माहौल बनाया और वैज्ञानिक जागरूकता, समावेशी शिक्षा और सामुदायिक जुड़ावके लिए MMVके समर्पण को और मज़बूत किया।

National Science Day Eve was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Banaras Hindu University, in collaboration with the National Academy of Sciences, India (NASI), Varanasi Chapter. Organized under the inspiring tagline “Aao Hath Badhayen, Vigyan Ko Vistar Dilayen”, the program aimed to promote scientific awareness and foster a scientific temperament among young learners and undergraduate students.

Students of GGHH School were specially invited to the BHU campus to participate in the day-long celebration. The event provided a vibrant platform for interaction between school students and university scholars, encouraging curiosity and critical thinking.

Around 45 undergraduate students of Mahila Mahavidyalaya volunteered for the event and prepared engaging “Do-It-Yourself” (DIY) science projects to demonstrate fundamental scientific concepts. Experiments illustrating the Tyndall Effect, light scattering, surface tension, air pressure, and the study of buccal epithelial cells by methylene blue staining were presented in a simple and interactive manner. The Class IX students enthusiastically observed the demonstrations, asked questions, and participated actively, gaining practical insights beyond classroom learning.

The inaugural session was addressed by Prof. Madhoolika Agrawal, Chairperson, NASI–Varanasi Chapter, who encouraged students to adopt a scientific approach in their daily lives. Eminent academicians including Prof. Abhay Kumar Singh, Prof. Jagat Kumar Roy, and NASI Fellow Prof. S. B. Agrawal interacted with the students, discussing India’s latest scientific missions and career opportunities in science. Prof. P. C. Abhisha, Secretary, NASI–Varanasi Chapter, briefed participants about NASI’s outreach programs.

During the valedictory session and certificate distribution ceremony, Prof. Rita Singh, Principal of Mahila Mahavidyalaya, emphasized that MMV has consistently taken a leading role in BHU outreach programs. She reiterated MMV’s commitment to supporting students at the grassroots level, ensuring that no learner remains deprived of quality education due to limited resources.

The event successfully created an atmosphere of experiential learning and reinforced the institution’s dedication to scientific awareness, inclusive education, and community engagement.
